Helloooo......
Hey,
How is everyone?
I am blogging for the first time in my life.
The hard part was remembering how to sign in.
I am hoping one, or both, of my sons, will read this and reply to me.
Apparently, the phone lines have been cut this last few weeks.
Funny though, the automatic deposits are still going through. Right Will, ;)
I love all of you.

Hi again Family,
So, Family Christmas at the Griffin House is going to be THE Family Christmas this year! We are going to do a gift exchange with a twist... This year if every one would bring a check or money up to $25 per person. Along with that, please be prepared to make a presentation about a charity of your choice. The goal is to try and persuade everyone that all the money collected should go to your charity of choice. ***Things like the Griffin Baby Fund are not acceptable (although not a bad idea)*** Let's give back this year to a charity that could really use the money. So, do your homework, know your charity and be prepared to sell it!
Love Ya'll!

This is the email that Hannah sent to her Daddy, Momma, Meghan and Robert. Robert got it right when he replied; Stay Clear..
This is an attempt to warn the loving family of Hannah Park that she has just read through her syllabi for the upcoming eight week semester and is already feeling overwhelmed. While she is generally an exciting, carefree and happy-go-lucky type of gal, she is also aware of her relatively recent development of a short tempered and impatient attitude. She will do her best to suppress any feelings of agitation and not lash out at any of you, as she is...at the moment...sensitive to the fact that all of you have a lot going on as well and do not...for the most part...transfer any of your frustrations on her. That being said, she would like to take this time to apologize in advance for any seemingly out of context rudeness, mouthing offs, fits, whammies, etc. Please be advised that these little fits of rage most likely have nothing to do with you, but have inconveniently exploded from Hannah's "I'm the only one in the whole wide world who has ever been unfortunate enough to be employed by a great company that will pay for my degree where I have to work 8-5 and then go to class, find time to study, read, research, do homework, write papers....all while being supported by a wonderful family" emotions.
It is expected that Hannah should return to her normal character and charming whit on or around June 30 at which point she will have finished her classes and be eagerly awaiting her commencement ceremony on July 31 where she will be adorned with a cap and slightly longer gown with tapered sleeves, an MBA hood and her adorable and ever stylish cowgirl boots.
It is on this day you will all be invited to partake in joyous festivities at the home of her gracious and supportive parents.
Thank for your patience with and support of Hannah as she continues to further her education.
Sincerely,Hannah...in her current state...the one who knows herself all too well :)

Well here I sit as if I have nothing to do. Lots to do but
don't know where to start. We are leaving here Tuesday
morning going to the blue grass fest at Twin Oaks Park
in Hoboken, Georgia. I have to secure every thing in
this motor home so it won't go flying every where when
James puts on brakes. (Which has happened before).
After the blue grass we are going to West Point Lake.
James wants to fish some there this year.
Josh is graduateing from Georgia Tech with
High Honors.I'm so proud. Course I'm proud
of all the grand kids.
Over Easter We went to Carroll Co. Got to
see Joy & Tom's and Ginny and Jermey's
new houses. They sure are pretty.
Don't guess we will do any traveling this year.
Gas too high. Will spend some time at the ranch
sitting, rocking and counting the horses.
Well kids this is it. Gotta go. Love you all

EASTER
Yes Micky, there is an Easter get together at your little sister's house! Sunday, April 4th. We'll eat around 2pm. Come anytime you would like and bring a friend if you would like. The more the merrier! (But before 10am you may catch me still in bed or at least still in my PJs) You should bring with you your drink of choice. We'll have tea (sweetened with sugar and splenda), bottled water, (yes Jeremy it will be Publix Spring Water), Diet Coke and some other flavors of diet drinks, and wine. I will also have some champagne for a toast to mine and Tom's 103 year old new home.
The only thing I need from you right now is to know if you're coming and the number you'll be bringing with you. So click on the comment button below this post and let me know. You can also email. Do not use my gmail account!! I never check it. Use my yahoo email or call.

Words of Wisom
"There comes a special moment in everyone's life,
a moment for which that person was born.
That special opportunity, when he seizes it,
will fulfill his mission — a mission for which he is uniquely qualified.
In that moment, he finds greatness.
It is his finest hour.

MBA
The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.
~Aristotle
Hello Family.
I am one step closer to my MBA.
After paying $70 worth of parking tickets to release my transcripts and $30 just to apply, I have turned in my application for graduation.
I will keep you posted on my progress, but as of now, it looks like I will graduate July 31, 2010!!!
Mark your calendars, for this will be a joyous occasion.
...now if I can just make it through my last two semesters...

Words for the day
Being a military family and moving so often maybe others in the family can relate to this:
"Every dreamer knows that it is entirely possible to be homesick for a place you've never been to, perhaps more homesick than for familiar ground."
Judith Thurman
I know I've felt this at times. Have a great weekend!

When the boys come home...
The thing about The Boys of Summer is they really like each other. They enjoy each other and have lots of fun together. They have many plans for the future, one of which is for the three of them to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro when Matthew graduates from high school and turns 18. I try to pretend it isn't going to happen, but if I know them, it will.
Aaron and Josh came home this weekend to plan our trip to Yosemite National Park. We are going at the end of March and it's sounding like it's going to be a lot of fun. I'm not sold on the midnight hike up Half Dome to see the sunrise yet, but I am participating in the moonlight snowshoe hike.
When the boys come home you never know what is going to happen. I looked out the kitchen window and saw this:
So tell me, what's a mother to do? This is Aaron trying out his new equipment for his ice climbing trip to New Hampshire later this month.
I just shake my head and wait for the next grand adventure with the Boys of Summer.

We have left the cold of the North(or is that south) pole
and now we are embedded in the rain forest. I know it
must be because it's raining her3e this morning.
We went to Dale's yesterday to see the baby/ She is a
pretty little thing. They are going to call her Savanah.
her real name is Savanah Taylor Maggie Riley.

nanny's time
Well here we are well into the first month of a new year. I wish so
many things for all of you. Much happiness, good times, Steady jobs
and love for one another.
It's so cold here and this is Florida. I think some body came in while
I was sleeping and hauled me off up north. I'd go farther south but
from what I hear it's cold in Miami.
Dad's not getting to fish as much as he wants to because it's so windy
and cold.
Well I hope every one has recovered from the Holidays and settled
back into the routine of school and work or maybe just doing much
of nothing like me.
To all you Kirklands I love you and I'm so proud of all of you and
so glad you all belong to me.

A Kirkland Wedding
In early November the Kirkland Family gathered in Savannah, GA to celebrate the first Kirkland
Wedding in almost 20 years (the last being Aunt Jan to Uncle Dick this month in I think 1992).
Ginny Kirkland became Mrs. Jeremy Griffin on November 14th 2009.
Below are some of the pictures from the Joyous Occasion.
